Geography
A Brief Description
The New England region was the most north of the three regions. The land was shaped by glaciers that came in from the north. The land was mostly flat but if you go farther in the land becomes hilly and then mountainous. The soil was generally rocky, making farming difficult. When the glaciers came in from the north, it pushed all the good soil to the south. The seaports are very busy in New England because they are so close to the sea.
