Recreation
Adult's Recreation
- Adults played sports like lacrosse, hunting, fishing, lawn bowling, stool ball, leapfrog, swimming, and target shooting (target shooting was expensive)
- Games involving animals included cockfighting and bear-baiting (Which were also popular in Elizabethan England)
- Indoor games included card games, board games with dice, and charades
- Gambling and horse races were common, but the government and church did not approve of it
Children's Recreation
Children in New England did not have much time for games. They had to toil day and night with adults. However, they still had free time.
