The Puritans were a big group of people who made a decision for religious purity in the 16th, 17th, and 18th century. The Puritans believed that God made a different deal.

They believed that God had made a good deal or agreement, with them. They also believed God expected them to live. According to the bible, to reform the Anglican Church. (The Anglican Church is a church of England or any Church in joining together)
In 1630, 20,000 Puritans immigrated to America to have more freedom to pray to God their own way. Unlike the Pilgrims who came to Massachusetts in 1620, the Puritans believed that the Church of England was a true church.
